Built to reflect business goals and to address core user needs, a powerful site performs the brand narrative from its navigation bar to its buttons. That's why my design process begins with strategic analysis and includes site wireframes, as well as a comprehensive site copy document. Because language and layout are only as strong as the structure they're built on. I also conduct web site audits.

Like the capital campaign for the Lowell High Alumni Association, for which we provided the brand identity, print invitations, fundraising web site, print brochures and a fundraising PowerPoint deck.

I am a writer, editor and content strategist with more than 20 years of experience in print and electronic communications for individuals, corporations and non-profits. I have worked for Bay Area advertising and interactive agencies including Ikonic Interactive, NovoIronlight Digital, Camp + King, Highway One, Digital Artists & Writers Group, and as the Director of Information Architecture & Content Strategy at Collaborate SF, for clients from Amnesty International to Visa International. As a creative strategist and content lead, I partner with graphic designers and web developers to bring brilliant branding and campaign collateral to life. Education: I hold an AB, summa cum laude, from Harvard and a Ph.D. in English from UC Berkeley. When I'm not developing kick-ass campaigns: I am a published writer of literary fiction, a writing coach and editor, and a college essay mentor for lower-income students.
